California OTS – DUI Doesn’t Just Mean Booze Campaign

Since 2011, members of the Prosio Communications team have worked with the California Office of Traffic Safety to provide year-round outreach, public relations, marketing and advertising services. In 2016, our team launched a new public awareness campaign for OTS’ annual anti-DUI planning efforts aimed at educating Californians that DUIs aren’t just all about alcohol. The campaign: “DUI Doesn’t Just Mean Booze,” incorporated a marijuana and prescription medication component to messaging and came on the heels of California Proposition 64 which legalized marijuana in the state. The campaign’s launch included paid and digital media featuring new PSAs, radio and strategy and creative development. Ongoing outreach activities include partnership development, graphic design, collateral distribution, media relations and social media.
