While we’re not usually ones to brag, oftentimes we can’t help but share how much we love the work that we do. Most recently, we’ve been lucky enough to foster the launch of The Danny Oliver Foundation, created to honor Sacramento Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver, who was shot and killed in the line of duty last year. The foundation was created by Oliver’s wife, Susan, who hopes to continue her husband’s legacy and commitment to creating a balance between law enforcement and the communities he served.
We’ve focused much of our efforts thus far on generating awareness and media coverage for this important cause, and are so humbled by its positive reception throughout the community. The Danny Oliver Foundation Facebook page received nearly 1,000 “likes” within the first 24 hours of its publication on January 20, and has now reached over 2,400 “likes” – while continuing to grow every day. Additionally, we secured a recent media tour for Susan Oliver, during which she appeared on KCRA 3, Fox 40 News, and News 10 to discuss the launch of the foundation.
The PC team is excited to help foster the continued success of the nonprofit foundation, which will provide various education, training, and outreach opportunities to help facilitate positive relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. It will also encourage at-risk youth to seek careers in law enforcement, and will provide financial assistance and educational opportunities to those who choose to do so.
We feel honored to be involved in this important effort – a simple reminder of why we truly love what we do.
