So far, my experience at Prosio Communications has been nothing short of a wild ride. On my first day of work I had no idea what was in store for me. One thing I wasn’t expecting was the notion that I would enjoy every minute of it. Each individual here has a unique warmth and authenticity about them, which you wouldn’t normally expect to see so quickly as the new guy.

From what could only be described as taking a drink from a firehose, I had no idea what to expect as each new day began. Yet, little did I know, one of the kindest gestures I’d ever experience was just beyond the front door of the office as I walked into work that Friday. My desk was covered in streamers and decorations, from people I had only known for one week. I had no idea they even knew it was my birthday! That is the mark not only of an extraordinary company, but of a group of people who are willing to go the extra mile for someone they barely know.

At the end of the day, being the new guy in the office provides its own challenges. Unsurprisingly, those challenges are few and far between when you work with such dedicated, passionate, and genuine people on a regular basis. Easing into the position as the Spare The Air mascot certainly took some getting used to, but after getting my feet wet and receiving some good mentoring, it has become the most exciting part of my job.

Having only been here for a few weeks, one thing that has stood out the most to me is that you can work hard and manage to play even harder. I am proud to work at a company like PC, and the opportunity to work with such wonderful people on a daily basis is a blessing not to be taken for granted.
